SEA FM and RSPCA get painted for the Million Paws Walk!

On Wednesday 12 May, to celebrate the RSPCA Million Paws Walk, two RSPCA supporters will be getting their bodies painted during Paddy and Ciel’s Sea FM 101.3 breakfast show. “Sea FM’s Dan King and the RSPCA’s Deanna Douglas are enduring a couple of hours of body paint to look like Dalmatians,” said Kelly McCormack, Volunteer Coordinator for the Central Coast’s RSPCA Million Paws Walk.

“It’s going to be an early start. The guys have to get to the station for 5.30am for their body makeover, and then they’ll be hitting the road around 7.00am.”

Sea FM are huge supporters of the RSPCA and will be at the Central Coast event with live crosses, Sea Cruisers, and Paddy and Ciel will be also doing the walk. There’ll also be pet competitions including wiggliest tail, fancy dress, sloppiest kiss and owner/dog look-a-like, and a tug-o-war with the Patonga Rural Fire Service. The RSPCA also encourages people without pets to come along, with ‘Invisimutts’ (invisible dog leads) up for adoption at the walk. Everyone who adopts an Invisimutt can enter the invisible dog hurdle/egg and spoon race. With plenty of great prizes donated from local businesses, you have to be in it to win it!

Every year, thousands of people and dogs nationwide walk for a cause and celebrate their love for animals by taking part in the RSPCA Million Paws Walk. This year’s event is on Sunday 16 May and the Central Coast Walk is going to be lots of fun! From babies to seniors, Chihuahuas to Great Danes – it’s an event for everyone – two and four-legged.
