Take-Me-Home Tuesday; Billy, Male, American Staffy Cross
Hi my name is Billy. I am a very playful young boy looking for my fur-ever home.
Ideally, I will need to go to an experienced household who have the time and patience to continue my training and socialisation. I am food motivated and already know how to sit. I am very eager to learn more and would love an owner who can spend the time teaching me new tricks.
I do tend to get excited when I play and can sometimes become quite jumpy. I will be easily trained out of that with some consistency. As with all dogs it is essential I am supervised at all times when around children to ensure I do not accidentally hurt them. I have been very social with the dogs I have met at the shelter and do love a good rumble. If you have any other dogs at home please bring them into the shelter with you when you come to meet me. I have shown a high interest in cats and pocket pets, because of this unfortunately I cannot be rehomed with any of these animals.
Take me walking at least once a day and throw in some interactive play time so you can help me burn off some excess energy. I do tend to pull on the lead while walking so it is recommended that you purchase a Halti or Newtrix to aid with my walking. If you are unsure how these work one of the friendly animal attendants will be happy to explain them for you. Please ensure your yard is secure with minimum 5ft fencing with no foot holes or gaps.
