Pop-up trees in Petbarn stores help RSPCA NSW provide animals a Merry Christmas
RSPCA would like to thank its partner Petbarn, who this week launched its annual Christmas Giving Tree Promotion. Proceeds from the Giving Tree are donated to the RSPCA to help assist animals in its care over the busy Christmas period and year ahead.
The initiative this year allows Petbarn customers to purchase double sided ornaments for $3, $5 or $10. They are then invited to write a message and hang one ornament on the Giving Tree in-store and the other to take home for decoration on their own tree.
“RSPCA NSW is extremely appreciative of the support of Petbarn customers who financially contribute to the Petbarn Christmas Giving Tree. As a not for profit organisation that relies on the generosity of the Australian community, these donations from animal-loving Petbarn customers will go a long way in helping the ongoing work of the RSPCA,” said RSPCA NSW CEO Steve Coleman.
“We’re really excited to be organising this initiative once again making it the fifth year of supporting the RSPCA. Last year the level of commitment shown by both the public and was immense, resulting in a total of $142,953 raised for the RSPCA. This year we’re confident that with the enthusiasm of our store staff and generosity from the public we’ll beat last year’s total with our target set to raise $180,000,” said Petbarn PR Manager Gail McWhinnie.
The Petbarn Christmas Giving Tree Promotion will run until 24th December with the funds raised presented to the RSPCA early in the New Year.
